    • Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman says he is moving his management company from Delaware.

    • It follows comparable statements from companies such as Dropbox, Meta and SpaceX.

    • Some companies turn against Delaware, historically considered a corporate friendly state.

Bill Ackman, the billionaire -CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, says that he will move his management company from Delaware to recording again in Nevada.

His announcement, which came in a post on X on Saturday morning, was a reaction to the news that Dropbox made a similar move. “For the same reason we have again been re -admitted to Nevada. Top law firms recommend Nevada and Texas to Delaware,” Ackman said.

Pershing Square Capital Management refused to comment further.

Other high -profile public companies have also announced their exit from Delaware's home in the past year, the former president of President Joe Biden, while some companies turn against the historically commercial state.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk spent a lot from 2024 with encouraging companies that were founded in Delaware to leave after a judge repeatedly brought down his $ 55 billion Tesla compensation package, a lawsuit of the shareholder argued, excessive. The decision led to move SpaceX to Texas.

Much of the concern for these established public companies is a series of recent statements by Delaware, including those about Musk's wage package, who further enable shareholders to challenge executive decisions.

Meta, who maintains a business structure that gives CEO Mark Zuckerberg almost total control, is also considering leaving Delaware to integrate again in Texas or another state, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

A meta spokesperson refused to comment on whether it was considering whether it was considered to be re -absorbed outside of Delaware and only said it had no plans to move his head office to California.

CEOs of billionaire such as Ackman, Zuckerberg and Musk hope that courts in other states, such as Texas or Nevada, are less permissible for lawsuits of shareholders and boards of directors.

Correction: January 25, 2025 – The Wall Street Journal reported that Meta Platforms discussed the relocation of his recording from Delaware, where people are familiar with the issue. An earlier version of this article reported that Meta himself said it is considering such a movement.
