A very hungry and determined black bear in Granby, Massachusetts, was found that made a huge mess without any regret. The bear found a barrel full of waste that he could not reach because it was on the other side of a backyard outside a house. De Beer wanted that waste and found the ideal solution to the problem: he tore the deck just apart!
CTV News recently shared a video on Tik Tok over the ring camera of the homeowner who captured the bear in action. As soon as the bear takes off the side of the deck, you would think he would take the waste immediately. However, I think he was in shock, because it looks like he doesn't know what to do!
That was a determined bear! I really wanted the video to be longer and showed whether or not the bear left with the garbage bags or if he just left after he had made a mess. CTV News -viewers left some funny remarks about the video of the Hungry Bear.
@Heynow said: “I would thank the bear for leting the railing were unsafe.” @Tay added: “She literally looked around at what she just did, lol. She knew it was bad, lol!” @51bagsofbobones made jokes: “Easy Peezy, Lemon Squezy!”
Commentator @henry M. Be on it: “Bro just opened the deck politely to take the waste,” complete with an eye roll emoji. @Dead Inside pointed out: “Owner must be fined because they do not have their waste safe.” And added: “Where I come from a garbage bear is a dead bear. This is the fault of the homeowner, and hefty fines are given because you do not protect your waste.”
I admit, I first wondered why the waste just discovered there. I wonder if the neighborhood does not normally receive bear visitors, or whether this homeowner was just carefree.

How big are black bears?
Black bears are large, but they are actually the smallest of the bear species found in America. Brown bears (aka de grizzly bear) and the polar bear are both larger in size, but that does not mean that black bears are small.
Black bears grow up to 4-6 feet long and can weigh between 150 and 650 pounds. Males that stand on their hind legs can be more than 7 feet long! Although they are the smallest of the bears, you certainly don't want to try to play with them!
