SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – An attack on passengers at a terminal at San Francisco International Airport on Friday suffered three cuts and scrapes before the suspect was arrested, authorities said.
The attacker attempted to injure travelers in the pre-security public area of ββthe international terminal around 6 p.m., airport officials said.
The passengers were treated for minor injuries before continuing their journey and other airport activities were not affected, officials said.
It was not clear whether the suspect was a traveler and the motive for the attack was unknown, the airport’s duty manager, Russell Mackey, told the San Francisco Chronicle.
A KTVU-TV reporter covering the Golden State Warriors’ return to the airport said a large knife had been removed from the scene.
Other details were not immediately available.
