At least 4 students injured in photographing at Colorado High School: civil servants

    At least four students were injured after a shooting at a high school in Evergreen, Colorado, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff office.

    The shooter, who was injured by a self -inflicted shot wound, is a student at the school, said the Sheriff office in an update on Wednesday. The student used a revolver gun to shoot fellow classmates, said the Sheriff office.

    The Sheriff office confirmed to ABC News that students from Evergreen High School, including the shooter, were being transported to an area hospital. Officials said they received the first report of a shooting at the school at around 12:24 pm local time.

    The suspect was involved and neutralized, according to law enforcement officials. Civil servants wipe the campus and the school is no longer in a lockdown.

    “This is the scariest thing you could ever happen,” said Seriff's Office spokesperson Jacki Kelley.

    Three students are in a critical condition and were taken to St. Anthony Hospital, a hospital spokesperson confirmed ABC News. A fourth student was also transported, but with an unknown injury.

    Kelley said she did not know how the suspect sustained their injuries, but said she did not believe that law enforcement fired rounds.

    Kelley said she could not provide any other details about the suspected shooter, including the age or gender of the suspect.

    “I don't know if our suspect is even old enough to drive,” said Kelley.

    She said that the authorities were looking for an order for the student's house and cupboard.

    The Alcohol, Tobacco Office, firearms and explosives also responded to the scene.

    FBI director Kash Patel said that the FBI is “aware of the tragic situation that unfolds in the vicinity of Denver”, whereby officials offer “full support from local authorities to guarantee the safety of everyone”.

    After the shooting, hundreds of police officers were the stage looking for every room on campus, according to law enforcement.

    Parents were asked to reunite with students from Bergen Meadow Elementary.
