Anger about travelers who take over for fourteen days

Residents in Burnham-on-Sea are furious after a group of travelers has set up camp on the Zeefront Gazons, causing disturbance since 13 July. The local population has reported waste, damaged cars and fights, while traders fear the impact during the peak summer season. MP Ashley Fox destroyed the “unacceptable” 12-day delay of Somerset Council when starting evacuation procedures, and accused it of “as little as possible”. The Council says that legal timelines are over and that a hearing will be set up on July 25. About 15 vehicles remain at two locations, with some people being expected to leave by Saturday.
