American adviser Navarro says that the Russian rough rough purchases of India should stop

(Reuters) -white house trading adviser Peter Navarro said that the purchases of Russian crude oil from India financed the war in Moscow in Ukraine in Ukraine and had to stop, adding that New Delhi “was now Cozying to Russia and China”.

“If India wants to be treated as a strategic partner of the US, it must behave like one,” Navarro wrote in an opinion piece published in the Financial Times.

The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously said that the country is chosen unfairly for buying Russian oil, while the United States and the European Union continue to buy goods from Russia. Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump an extra rate of 25% on Indian goods, referring to the continuous purchases of New Delhi of Russian oil, which applies the total rates of India to 50%.

“India acts as a worldwide clearinghouse for Russian oil, to convert crude oil with embargo into high -quality exports, while Moscow gives the dollars it needs,” said Navarro.

The adviser also said it was risky to transfer advanced American military capacities to India, because New Delhi “was now Cozying to both Russia and China”.

For a long time Rivals China and India quietly strengthen the tires against the background of the unpredictable approach of Trump for both. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping at the end of the month, while the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi India will visit from Monday for discussions about the disputed border between the two countries.

A planned visit from American trade negotiators to New Delhi from 25-29 August has been canceled, said a source at the weekend, postponing conversations about a proposed trade agreement and the hope of exemption from extra American rates on Indian goods from 27 August.
