Stacy Hunsucker, a pre -school teacher who remained a busy mother for two young daughters.
“She has done a lot of cunning things, such as making small painted wooden plates,” says her friend Shellie O'Day, who stopped at Mount Holly, NC, Home Stacy shared with her husband, Joshua, a flight paramedician, and their girls Piper and Willow bought in the summer of 2018 for a “Welcome” bought “Welcome”
The couple lingered and chat about their lives and plans for a few minutes. “She tried to lose a little weight, which after having children and being a little older becomes difficult,” O'day recalls. “It was a normal, everyday conversation. She seemed fine.”
Still, about six weeks later, Stacy's health and apparent happiness took a drastic turn worse. On September 23, 2018, Joshua, 40, 911 called and told the responding officers that he “did not breathe and Blauw” when he returned from outside to check whether their vehicles were locked up after hearing an eruption of car thefts in the neighborhood.
Stacy was pronounced as the death of an apparent heart attack. Joshua seemed to be subjected by his loss – but his behavior in the days that followed on the raised eyebrows. Authorities say that Joshua refused to allow a coroner to perform an autopsy, which said he did not want his wife to be “cut”, although Stacy had registered to be an organ donor. The body of Stacy was cremated within two days and Joshua submitted a claim for her $ 250,000 life insurance policy.

Stipped by Stacy's mother, Suzie Robinson, that Joshua had a relationship with a colleague, launched insurance researchers a probe in the death of Stacy. State authorities then discovered that Joshua had given conflicting reports of his place of residence before he found his wife unconscious and told a friend that he had went for a walk to burn some energy, but another that he was cut in the back garden that cut wood. In a third account, Robinson says, her son -in -law claimed that he was working on his computer with his back to Stacy when he turned around and saw that she was sitting over the side of their couch.
When the learning of Stacy was an organ donor, officials gained a house search order and analyzed a routine blood sample that was drawn after the death of Stacy and stored by the Organ Donor Lab. They made an alarming discovery: her blood had increased levels of the active ingredient in eye drops, tetrahydrozoline, a chemical that can cause cardiac arrest if taken.

News about the arrest of Joshua shook the quiet, close -knit community of the Hunsuckers. “I was shocked,” says O'Day. “I had something like that:” If I wrote 10 people that I knew I thought I would commit a crime, he would not even be a glimpse in my brain. I never thought that. “

On nights, Stacy and Joshua went to concerts and cookouts with friends. “Just a cute couple,” says O'day. “I never heard them argue.”
But in the course of more than a decade together, the Hunsuckers suffered different setbacks. According to news items with reference to a disabled GoFundMe page, Stacy started to experience non-specific medical problems in 2013 after the birth of her first daughter, Piper. Months later, a fire destroyed many of their possessions in their house. The following year, Stacy was admitted to the hospital for low blood pressure and a low heart rate after the birth of her second daughter, Willow. She was admitted months later and had implanted a pacemaker.

“After many tests, the doctors are still stupid [going] On, “wrote the GoFundMe organizer reportedly.
After Stacy died, Joshua's colleagues told the researchers that Joshua seemed “unaffected” and “went on” with a new girlfriend, who became a competition in the house he once shared with Stacy.

“He was always over her,” says Babysitter Kailyn Macdonald, who started working for Joshua months after Stacy's death. “They spoke about moving together to a house – not that house, but buying a house together.” Macdonald remembers that Joshua rarely spoke about his deceased husband. “He never said:” I miss stacy, “or:” I miss their mother. “I don't understand that. When my father died, I literally spoke non -stop about him. '

After Joshua was released from the detention, the relationships with the parents of Stacy-Die have brought an unlawful dead shop against him and since then the custody of Piper, now 12, and Willow, now 10-steeds more tense. Authorities claim that Joshua “is involved in a pattern of intimidation” focused on Suzie and John Robinson. His strange behavior is said to include the recording and photographing of the pair at Piper's Lacrosse practices, so that vulgar gestures were in public and hang out in the parking lot of their church while attending services.
On February 4, 2023, the authorities confirmed that Joshua wrongly reported to the police that he “had been hurled in the head”, zipper and injected with an unknown chemical substance by John after Joshua pulled on the side of a road to change a flat tire. But authorities say they could not find any evidence to support his claim. They believe that Joshua falsified the kidnapping to “shift responsibility” before the death of Stacy to her parents, according to a motion to pull his bond.
Shocking, 20 days after the assumed incident along the road, claimed public prosecutors, Joshua tried to poison older daughter Piper by placing “the same substance that his wife killed” in a drink bottle. The alleged poisoning, said public prosecutors, was “again made with an attempt to involve the Lord and Mrs. Robinson in the death of his wife and to remove the Robinsons from the life of his daughters,” said the motion. Also found in the Piper system was a depression medication that is not prescribed for children claiming to have found in a bag in the Joshua truck when he submitted the abduction report against his father-in-law.
Joshua was again arrested on August 6, 2024 and accused of witness intimidation and obstruction of justice. He is now waiting for the trial in the Gaston County prison. In the meantime, the lovers of Stacy remain sad and stunned by her death. “Stacy was always such a friendly, loving person,” said Philip Smith, a member of her church. “She only brought goodness wherever she went.”
