White House Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt ensured that two words became viral on social media after a verbal flub during Wednesday's press conference.
Edward Lawrence from Fox Business asked Leavitt: “So now that President Trump's policy is starting to take shape, how long does it take to cycle through and get some of the actual prices that Americans pay to get down?”
LeaVitt – whose boss, President Donald Trump, is certainly no stranger to verbal Goofs and who promised to reduce the prices on his first day during his campaign – sought clarification about the question.
But she was wrong and said, “Prices in the store and at the supermarket?”
Lawrence confirmed that he mentioned “all the above” and Leavitt some of the actions of the administration that she claimed would lower prices, but could not give a time frame for when it would happen.

On social media, the words “supermarket pump” have had a life of its own.
