    A Russian ammunition depot exploded in Kherson

    Yevhen Ryschuk, the mayor of Oleshky, a town across the Dnipro River from the city of Kherson, reported on Telegram on Sept. 4 that Ukrainian armed forces had attacked a company belonging to Saldo, Russia’s Gauleiter of Kherson Oblast.

    “Impacts on BMU-5 (Building and Assembling Office 5). Ammunition explodes. In case you didn’t know, this object is owned by Balance,” Ryschuk wrote.

    This is the second property of the main Russian collaborator in Kherson Oblast to be hit in two days.

    On the afternoon of September 3, explosions sounded in the city of Kherson and soon reports came in that the Zateryannyi Mir hotel, which also belongs to Saldo, had been hit.

    Ukrainian activist and blogger Serhiy Sternenko, citing sources, wrote that Russian soldiers were stationed at Saldo’s hotel.

    Photos later circulating on social media showed extensive damage to the building.
