Former Dallas Cowboys QB Visits Bars To Promote ‘Eight’ Beer

The El Paso crowd gathered like no other Monday night, and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman took notice.

“I thought we had a good crowd, but this has exceeded my wildest expectations,” he told the El Paso Times. “The people of El Paso are great. They have always been good to me and good to the Cowboys.”

The three-time Super Bowl champion made three stops while promoting his new beer in the Sun City: Bikini Joe’s, 7942 Gateway East Blvd; Headquarters, 2910 Tularosa Ave; and Union Draft House Sunland, 730 Sunland Park Drive.

Known as Eight after his iconic jersey number, the beer was launched on tap in February at bars, restaurants and other local accounts across Texas.

Aikman told the El Paso Times in February that he has always loved beer, and the new line fits his lifestyle: working hard but enjoying time with family and friends.

“I think I have some God-given talents, but the reason I think I was able to do what I could do athletically and even what I can currently do with Fox is just through good old-fashioned hard work.” And those people who want to do that are people who have always inspired me and that’s what this beer is really for.”
