Stephen Miller makes secret phone calls to diplomats every day to spread Trump's immigration agenda around the world: report

Stephen Miller is making secret phone calls to diplomats every day to spread the Trump administration's aggressive immigration agenda around the world, according to a new report.

During the meetings, which are said to take place around 10 a.m., the White House homeland security adviser will question officials on visa and immigration issues, and push for negotiations with third countries to accept deportees from the US who cannot be returned to their countries of origin.

Miller has also lobbied for the revocation of individual visas for critics of Israel or MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk, according to sources cited by The Guardian.

The calls, reportedly dubbed the “Stephen Miller call,” are part of a broader Trump administration strategy to install “trusted people in key positions” to turn the State Department into an “anti-immigration machine.”

“It is certainly true in the Trump administration that migration issues have become a key pillar of our foreign policy, and may remain so for the rest of the century,” a senior State Department official said. The Guardian.

“Frankly… this is something that is somewhat new for the State Department. I would say that migration issues are not typically considered a major focus of the United States' diplomatic role in the world.”

Miller is one of the most prominent proponents of Trump's anti-immigration agenda and is believed to have pushed ICE officials to make up to 3,000 immigration arrests per day.

His calls also reportedly included high-profile attendees such as Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Landau, another advocate within the Trump administration's State Department for stricter immigration.

The independent has contacted the White House and the State Department for confirmation and further information about Miller's calls with foreign diplomats.

A White House official said The Guardian that the calls were not unusual and that Miller was “an employee in the Trump administration who, like any other employee, is working to implement the president's agenda.”

“Any claim that this is Stephen's policy is incorrect and shows a lack of understanding about the role of the homeland security adviser,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

In a separate statement, Tommy Pigott, chief spokesperson for the State Department, said The Guardian: “President Trump pledged to fight the previous administration's failed open border policies.

“The entire government works seamlessly together to implement the president's agenda for which he was elected.

“Thanks to the President's leadership, we now have the most secure border in history, and the administration will continue to coordinate closely on the administration's key priorities. Individuals who complain about coordination between the White House and the agencies fundamentally misunderstand our system of government.”
