An inquest has been opened into the prison death of a man jailed for killing an 82-year-old in a racist attack and plotting to bomb mosques.
Pavlo Lapshyn died on September 23 at HMP Wakefield. An inquest was opened and adjourned at Wakefield and Leeds Coroner's Court on Friday.
No date has yet been set for the full investigation, and the Prison Service said the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman would also launch an investigation, as is usual for deaths in custody.

The 37-year-old Ukrainian student was serving a life sentence after admitting stabbing Mohammed Saleem in Small Heath, Birmingham, in 2013 and plotting explosions near mosques in Walsall, Tipton and Wolverhampton.
