Two British teenagers who are associated with scattered spider transomware

    Federal Public Prosecutors accused a British teenager with conspiracy to commit computer prefraud and other crimes in connection with the network intrusions of 47 American companies that generated more than $ 115 million to ransomware payments over a three-year period.

    A criminal complaint that was concluded on Thursday (pdf) (pdf) said that Thalha Jubair, 19, from London, was part of Scattered Spider, the name of an English -speaking group that broke the networks of dozens of companies worldwide.     The disconnection of the document, submitted in the American court of the New Jersey district, came on the same day and another alleged scattered Spider – Owen Flowers, 18, from Walsall, West Midlands – were charged by British prosecutors related to last year's cyber attacks.
