700-part LEGO G3 iMac Design is confronted with long-shot opportunities to be made, but I still want one

I usually do not get too enthusiastic about designs submitted on the LEGO Ideas website, especially when those ideas should negotiate a license with another company-by-user-generated designs must reach 10,000 supporters before LEGO regards them for two fairly high beams to erase, even without factors in some other circumstances and requests from the brand.

But I am both intrigued and impressed by this LEGO version of Apple's old Bondi Blue G3 -IMAC that has made the round today. Submitted by a user called Terauma, the 700-plus-piece set is supplied complete with keyboard, hockey-puck mouse, a classic Mac OS on-start screen and cathode ray tubes and circuit plates visible through the transparent blue housing of the set (to exclude the original imac, it can be controversial). The design has already reached 5,000 supporters and it still has 320 days to reach the benchmark of 10,000 supporter to be assessed by LEGO.

With his personality giving aesthetics and Jony-only-guided design, the original iMac was the first step the path that led to blockbuster products such as the iPod and iPhone. It was the first new Mac design of the company after CEO Steve Jobs had returned to the company in the late 90s, and although it missed some functions included in contemporary PCs, the tightly integrated design and the convenience of the setup helped to distinguish against the beige desktop PCs of the day. Today's colorful Apple Silicon iMacs are clearly inspired by the original design.
