Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, told The Outlet that Monarez “warns science, is a solid researcher and has a history as a good manager. We look forward to working with her.”
A low point for the desk
The reported Ouster comes to what feels like a Nadir for the CDC. The agency has lost hundreds of employees of fired and buyouts. Vital health programs are closed or impeded. Dangerous rhetorical and health information from Kennedy and other health officials in the Trump government once respected CDC experts have ensured that the public and the goals of hatred have been taxed. Kennedy itself has wrongly mentioned the COVID-19 recordings the “deadliest vaccine ever made” and for example the CDC a “Cesspool of Corruption”.
On August 8, a shooter opened the fire on the CDC campus due to vaccine disinformation. From nearly 500 shots fired, around 200 six CDC buildings found while terrified personnel pigeon for safety. A local police officer was killed in the incident. The shooter had specifically focused on the CDC for the shooting and blamed COVID-19Gaccins for his health problems.
Extra outputs reported
After the news was broken about the removal of Monarez, Stat News reported that a wave of CDC leadership resigned. The retiring dismissal of high ranking includes: Daniel Jernigan, director of the National Center for Emerging Zonotic Infectious Diseases; Deb Houry, Chief Medical Officer; and Demetre Daskalakis, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
“I can no longer serve in this role because of the continuous armament of public health,” Daskalakis said in a message to staff seen by Stat.
“I am committed to protecting the health of the public, but the constant changes prevent me from continuing my work as a leader of the agency,” Houry wrote to the staff. Houry added that science “should never be censored or subject to political interpretations.”
Earlier today, Polito reported that Jennifer Layden, director of the Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology of the Agency, also resigned.
