Heavy rainfall unleashes Noord -Indian landslide, killing 30, says Ani

    New Delhi (Reuters) -heavy rain caused a landslide on a famous Hindu -Gedaartvaartroute in the northern region of Jammu in India, in which at least 30 people were killed, the ANI press agency said on Wednesday, while floods rise to official warnings for people to stay inside at night.

    The Weather Office predicts more rain for the Himalayas region, on the federal territory of Jammu and Kashmir and mountainous Ladakh.

    Authorities tried to restore the telecom services in the region where communication was “almost not -best, said Omar Abdullah, the prime minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

    The landslide in the vicinity of Vaishno Devi on the route of the pilgrims has killed at least 30 people, said Ani, in which Reuters has a small interest.

    Authorities also ordered the closure of educational institutions in Jammu, the weather officials said that it was recorded with 368 mm (14.5 inch) rain on Tuesday.
