National Guard vehicle bumps with civilian car near the US Capitol, which catches one person

WASHINGTON (AP) – A vehicle from the National Guard collided on a civilian car on Thursday morning less than a mile from the American Capitol, while troops took positions in the city during the performance of President Donald Trump.

One person was in the car after the accident and had to be released by emergency care providers, according to spokesperson for the DC Fire Department Vito Maggiolo. The person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

It was not immediately clear what the crash caused. An online video that was placed online showed a Tan-colored armored vehicle and a silver SUV with a ground side. The military vehicle was twice the height of the burger car.

“You come to our city and this is what you do? Seriously?” A woman shouted at the troops in the video.

The driver was conscious and breathed, and the injuries were not considered life threatening, the police said.

It is estimated that 1,900 troops are deployed in DC, more than half come out by the Republicans-led states that respond to requests from Trump administration officials.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said that more than 550 people have been arrested so far, and the American Marshals offer $ 500 rewards for information that leads to extra arrests.

“Together we will make DC safe again!” Bondi wrote on social media.
