A $ 2,500 interceptor -drone built to destroy Iranian Shaheds was absorbed flying with the speed of a bullet train train

    • A Ukrainian company has released a video of his interceptor -drone that flew mile per hour until 195.

    • That is a first-person-view-drone of $ 2500 that flies with about the speed of a bullet train.

    • Speed is essential for interceptor drones because they have to chase with ammunition.

The Ukrainian company Wild Hornets said that his sting interceptor until 195 mile per hour in stable flight reached one speed that the system probably makes one of the fastest first-person-view combat drones.

The startup released a video of the Angel on Monday that flew over open fields in an apparent test. A speed controller on the user interface of the first person of the drone indicated that the sting reached up to 315 km per hour, or roughly the top speed of a standard ball train.

Business Insider could not verify the speed of the drone independently.

The announcement comes when the Ukrainian drone industry has been trying for months to push the boundaries of his FPV under -creators.

Ukrainian units are increasingly looking at these cheap drones, once a new concept on the battlefield, as a solution against the Iran designed by Iran.

Russia, which produces the Shahed Local, has drastically increased the number of these exploding drones that are simultaneously deploying, so that they are linked to ballistic missiles to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses.

New Russian tactics with which Shaheds can fly higher and faster have also made it more difficult for machine gun squadrons, a core pillar of air defense for Ukraine, to become reliable the hanging ammunition.

The speed of an interceptor -drone is the key because the not -described system must be fast enough to catch up with the Shahed. The Shahed-136, the standard ammunition that is used in the drone waves of Russia, flies with around 115 miles per hour.

When reports first emerged from the existence of the Angel in the fall of 2024, the basin line of the drone was to fly faster than 100 miles per hour.

With the video announcement on Monday, it is now almost double that speed.

One of the rising stars of the industry, the Angel is used in active fights, although it is unclear on what scale.

De Wild Hornets have said that one interceeptor costs $ 2,500 and that Ukrainian pilots have already used the Angel to destroy around 100 Shahed Drones.

That is still a small contribution to the total volume of the drone attacks of Moscow; Russia launched more than 6,000 Shahs and Lokvogels in July alone.

But Ukraine hopes that interceptor drones will soon strengthen the gap in his air defense. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zenskyy has announced a goal for the country to build 1,000 interceptor drones daily.

Kyiv troops generally shoot or switch off between 86 and 89% of Russian Shaheds, which means that a few hundred still endure for a month. The reported interception and the invalidation was 82%in May.

Russia has meanwhile pushed its own drone technology. It has been reported that the Jet-driven versions of the Shahed test and implement, which is assumed to be modeled on an improved Iranian design that can fly up to 500 miles per hour.
