Pick-up of flood waste starts on Monday in Travis County, while clean-up efforts continue in flood graves areas.
The initiative will focus on roads maintained by the province in neighborhoods that are seriously affected by the recent floods during the weekend of 4 July, according to a press release issued by the Travis County Transportation and Natural Resources department.
Residents along the designated roads are encouraged to place sorted debris at the weekend during the weekend in preparation for Pick -Up. The CURBSide collection is offered for free.

Residents must separate materials in the following categories:

Devices: Refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, air conditioners, stoves and similar items

Construction and demolition materials: Drywall, wood, carpet, furniture, sanitary items

Brush and vegetation: Tree trunks and limbs (limited to less than 10 feet long)

Hazardous waste: Oil, batteries, paint and cleaning products

Electronics: Televisions, computers, telephones and gaming systems
Domestic trash can not be accepted As part of the Stoepsservice. Materials that are not sorted are not collected.
Where to install sorted flood waste
Puin must be placed along the road on the edge of the property of the residents without blocking access or roads. In areas with sidewalks, debris must be placed between the sidewalk and the curb with a 3-foot clearance around it.
For efficient and safe removal, residents must avoid stacking debris near trees, utility posts, mailboxes, brand hydrants or meters. Blocked or incorrectly placed rubble can be bypassed by crews.

Domestic waste can be brought to a waste container on the north side of the Sandy Creek Bridge, accessible on foot. For those who can transport their waste, the FM1431 Citizen Collection Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday.
