A 5-year-old girl recovers after the survival of a crash in Lilburn when her father reportedly drove the police with the child who was unrestrained in the vehicle.
“I still can't do the fact that she could not have been here. But I am grateful,” said her mother, Jilliana Burris.
The incident started last Monday around 2 p.m. when Police Officers of Lilburn Joseph Harris saw, who was searched for crimebecels, who drove Burris's car.
When the police tried to stop him, Harris accelerated with the 5-year-old Jaida, the police said.
“It was very frightening and scary because I didn't even know she wasn't in my neighborhood,” said Burris Channel 2 Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Matt Johnson.

The police say that Harris, 39, has a red light focused on Lawrenceville Highway and the road of Arcado continued before he crashed and rolled the vehicle. Jaida was not protected in a car seat, according to arrest statements.
Instead of getting medical help for his wounded daughter, Harris picked up the child and, according to the police, came across nearby forests.
Police officers of Lilburn, the Gwinnett County police and the Sheriff office set up a perimeter before Harris finally came forward with Jaida and surrendered.
The little girl spent two days in a hospital with facial treatments that require stitches and require internal injuries due to the crash. Doctors have performed extra tests because she also has sickle cell disease.
“I just thank God that that is the only thing that happened to her because it could have been worse,” said Burris.
Harris is confronted with eleven charges, including fleeing police, child abuse and serious abuse, according to the prison reports. He is held without a band.
The crash was Burris's car and as the medical costs continued to grow. She put on An online fundraiser To help with expenses.
“This is definitely not the way I spent my birthday week, but I am grateful that my child is still there,” said Burris.
