On the heels of Bonnaroo's mid-festival cancellation because of the weather and the flooded site conditions it created, the Fallout remains a hot debate about social media.

Petition asks Live Nation for full repayments for Bonnaroo

A petition has started on Change.org by Kaitlyn Ziegler, who calls on Live Nation, the promoter of the festival, to issue 100% restitutions for the cancellation instead of the 75% reimbursements that were promised.

“This year's Bonnaroo Music Festival, owned and managed by Live Nation, was downright disappointing for thousands of attendees,” is the petition. “Many festival -goers were faced with unexpected challenges, including extreme weather conditions, poor organization and insufficient facilities. These problems made the festival experience tiring and unaccepting, contrary to what was promised when tickets were purchased.”

More than 4,000 people had signed the petition by the afternoon of Tuesday 17 June.

One person named Brian commented on the petition that the festival had to be canceled and he was happy that they did that, but a refund of 75% is “a smile in the face” with the hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in food, stocks and travel costs festival guides published.

“I understand that throwing a festival that requires a lot of logistics to function well, and I also understand that it also costs a lot of money for Live Nation,” Las Brian's Post. “Live Nation, however, is a large and powerful company. They have the ability to organize a good answer protocol on storms, but they choose not to do this. We have had magic on the farm for more than two decades. Let's not ruin the community we have built by greedy.”

The Tennessean put his hand out of the organizers of Bonnaroo and will update this story if they return our requests for comments.
