Former President Joe Biden shared unhappy news this weekend with the audience: he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to the bone.
The news about his diagnosis in Stage 4 fueled sympathy for the first time. But questions quickly arose about the timing of this unfortunate announcement and whether he was diagnosed while he was still in the White House.
Although these questions remain unanswered, and the Biden family, the last book about the former president and a tape with him offers insight into his declining health while he was in office and about his decision to resell.
The full tape of Biden's conversation with special counselor Robert Hur, who was investigating the confidential documents in his home, was released on Monday. It also serves as proof of his decreasing mental sharpness in the midst of the already ballooning speculation in the former president.
Trump 'Surprised' Biden has not informed the public for long of 'long ago'
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, an oncologist who served as an advisor in the Biden Witte Huis, spoke on Monday about the diagnosis of Biden on MSNBC's “Morning Joe”.
“He has had this for many years, perhaps even a decade, growing and spreading,” speculated Emanuel.
The US Preventive Services Task Force recommends men who are 55 to 69 years old to get regular screening, but does not recommend it for men who are 70 or older, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Biden is 82.
Emanuel said it is “a bit strange” if Biden was not tested for prostate cancer when he was president.
Trump, who initially offered his sympathies, also suggested that Biden Verordosis of the public hid.
“I am surprised that the audience was not informed a long time ago, because to get in phase 9, that's a long time,” Trump said Monday. He brought together the Gleason score, an assessment of the pattern and the nature of the cancer cells, with the stage of cancer, the indicator of how advanced the disease is.
Wall Street Journal places CNN's Jake Tapper on Blast
The authors of “Original Sin”, Alex Thompson and CNN's Jake Tapper from Alex Thompson, say that the nearly 200 sources with which they spoke explains the information “after the 2024 election, when officials and assistants felt considerably freer to talk.”
The book reveals disturbing authorities from Biden -Presidentschap, such as when the President George Clooney, his friend of more than 15 years, did not recognize. But the author, Tapper, is also under fire.
The Wall Street Journal focused on the CNN -Gastheer. The editors of the newspaper said that although it published a report in June 2024 on Biden with 'signs of slipping', the tapper reads the resignation of the White House and brought a democrat to support it.
“A more curious journalist would have investigated if it were true, and perhaps even made part of his own report. Now he tacitly admits that the magazine was right,” the board added.
Doj Releases Full Robert Hur report
The release of the Ministry of Justice of the full and unprocessed conversation between Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur From October 2023 seems to provide more evidence that his mental health decreased during his office.
These ties offer the public deeper insight into the memory of Biden while he still served.
He speaks in a soft tone and pauses and had problems with the ecalling of details. His assistants would intervene and help when Biden could not find the right word.
Axios, who broke the news about the ties, noticed that Biden did not remember: “When his son died when he left his office as a vice president, which year Donald Trump was chosen. Or why he had classified documents he should not have had.”
Hur did not submit any charges against Biden about the classified documents found with the former president of the president and said he did not have enough to build a case. A jury would probably be “a sympathetic, well -meaning, older man with a bad memory,” Hur noted.
