Employee identified as a victim in a fatal shooting in Las Vegas Gym

    LAS VEGAS (class) – The man who was killed in a deadly shooting on Friday in a gym in Las Vegas was identified as an employee, according to a post on social media.

    Edgar Quinonez, who had worked at the Las Vegas Athletic Club (LVAC) for 15 years, was deadly shot on Friday afternoon, according to the post.

    The shooting happened just after 1:30 pm in the LVAC on North Rainbow Boulevard near Lake Mead Boulevard.

    The LVAC post described Quinonez as more than just an employee.

    “At that time he became so much more than a colleague. He was a source of kindness, dedication and positivity. His presence hit the lives of so many members and teammates, and his impact will never be forgotten,” said the post.

    Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said that officers shot the non -created shooter, who was pronounced death in a hospital in the area. Three extra people were taken to a local hospital. One of the victims was last mentioned in a critical condition, while two non-lifferring injuries were sustained.

    From Friday evening, according to LVMPD Lt. Jason Boveda no motive determined.

    After the shooting, LVAC issued a statement: “We were deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place in our Northwest Club. Our prayers are with the victims, their families, our members and our team. The club is temporarily closed while we support the LVMPD research. We will share updates as we have.”
