“We are here to welcome these heroes (who returned) from Strasbourg, to greet them. A plume for everything they have done. In general, these students are a total surprise for me, they are like bees, they have their own rules and they push their business to the end.”
On their journey, cyclists had covered 807 miles (1,300 kilometers) and called for the consciousness of the protests that had started in Novi Sad and spread throughout the country.
Serbia has seen months of anti-government rallies after 16 deaths due to a collapse of a train station into Novi Sad in November, caused accusations of widespread corruption and negligence.
