Chatgpt can now remember and refer all your earlier chats

In contrast to the function older stored memories, the information stored through the Chat History Memory function is not accessible or tweakable. It is up to or it is not.

From today, the new approach to memory is first rolling out to Chatgpt Plus and Pro users – although it seems as if it is a gradual implementation in the coming weeks. Some countries and regions (the UK, the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) are not included in the rollout.

OpenAI says that these new functions will reach Enterprise, Team and EDU users on a later, not yet-submitted date. The company has not mentioned any plans to bring them to free users. When you get access to this, you will see a pop-up that says: “introduce new, improved memory.”

Some people will welcome this memory expansion because it can significantly improve the usefulness of chatgpt if you are looking for answers tailored to your specific situation, personality and preferences.

Others will probably be very skeptical about a black box with chat history memory that cannot be adjusted or adapted to privacy reasons. It is important to note that even before the new memory function logs of conversations with chatgpt can be stored and stored on OpenAI servers. It is just that the chatbot has not fully included their content so far in its reactions.

As with the old memory function, you can click on a check box to completely switch it off and it will not be used for conversations with the temporary chat flag.
