Trump accidentally called the former official HR McMaster – abused him when he realized who was on the line, says Report Says

Just over a month ago, just over six weeks after the second Trump administration – and a few days before the events in the Signalgate story took place – the retired Lt. Gene. HR McMaster an unexpected call on his personal mobile phone.

According to four sources who spoke with CBS News, the call came from the White House and told a voice on the other side McMaster to remain in front of the president.

The call was particularly strange in view of the fact that McMaster was deposed from his role as a national security adviser after just 13 months, long ago in March 2018.

De Ore was still that only the day before – March 2, 2025 – President Donald Trump McMaster on social media had damaged as a “weak and fully ineffective loser” after his appearance 60 minutes When he expressed skepticism about Trump's overtures to Russian President Vladimir Putin and any willingness on the part of the Russian leader to end the war in Ukraine.

Why would he call him now?

When the president came about, he started: “Henry …” Before he started the conversation, reports CBS News, referring to two sources that were not authorized to discuss private conversations.

McMaster knew that this well -known voice was certainly President Trump, but he soon realized that he was not the intended recipient of the call.

To begin with, his name is not Henry. HR is shortly before Herbert Raymond.

“Mr. President, this is HR McMaster,” he said.

“Why would I talk to HR McMaster with HR McMaster?” Asked Trump in response before launching what two sources said was a destructive criticism of his former assistant.

    The call ended shortly thereafter.

According to the same two sources, the president intended to speak with Governor of South Carolina Henry McMaster.

It is not known who brought the call to the wrong McMaster, but one person told CBS News that it was an assistant who works with the president. The White House refused to discuss the private calls of the president or if the conversation took place.

McMaster is an employee of CBS News, but refused to comment on the call to the network.

Communication director Steven Cheung told the network: “HR McMaster has itself completely and his third-rate book, which is now being sold in the bargain bin of the fiction part of a discount book store, is filled with lies in a unsuccessful attempt to rehabilitate his recovered reputation.”

McMaster appeared on 60 minutes In March, pronounced earlier about Trump's views on Putin.

In his recent memoirs, At war with ourselvesHe wrote that he believes that the Russian leader “played for Trump's ego and uncertainties with flattery.”
