Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are finally back on solid ground.
The NASA astronauts who flew to the space on board the failed Starliner -Space Varitage of Boeing months ago, landed on Tuesday evening off the coast of Florida on a SpaceX Dragon Capsule. The vehicle was the same selected for their return trip months ago when two astronauts of a SpaceX mission were known as Crew-9 reached the international space station.
The crew-9 team, NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos Cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, were also on board the Dragon Freedom when it made a dramatic parachute-supported Splashdown after a long 17-hour space travel.
For Wilmore and Williams, De Waterlanding brought an end to an unexpected nine -month mission to put a job around the job when they managed the Boeing Starliner for his maiden travel. The vehicle, which experienced technical problems when it reached the orbital laboratory, returned to earth without them in September.
Many people were tailored to live streams of the SpaceX Dragon when he approached the earth to prepare for landing. But if you have missed the return of Wilmore and Williams to Earth, here are pictures of the Dragon's landing, followed by the four space sailing that leaves the vessel.
