Just over six percent of the eligible Ontario voters have issued an early vote in the Snap -provincial elections, according to provisional data.
Elections Ontario said on Monday that 678,789 or about 6.14 percent of the electorate voted in the three-day advanced voice period.
In principle, it is impossible to draw strong conclusions from the data. The early election call by PC leader Doug Ford meant that the advanced voting period was considerably condensed, as required by the Elections Act of the province.
In 2022, more than a million people, or about 9.92 percent, threw an advanced mood. But that was more than a 10 -day window.
In 2018, the advanced voice period was five days, and about 6.8 percent of the eligible participation, according to elections ontario.
Very little about the rise of the potential election day can be from the provisional advanced voice data. That said, the last turnout in 2022 was one of the lowest in the history of Ontario, with only about 43 percent of the electorate that took the trouble to appear in the polls.
