Washington (AP) -Sdan Bongino, a former American secret service agent who has written best-selling books, has led in vain for the office and fame as a conservative expert with TV shows and a popular podcast, was chosen to serve as FBI deputyt- Director-director.
President Donald Trump announced the appointment on Sunday evening in a position on his social social platform and praised Bongino as “a man of incredible love and passion for our country.” He called the announcement “Great news for law enforcement and American justice.”
The selection places two faithful Trump bondmen on top of the most important federal law enforcement agency of the nation at a time when Democrats are concerned that the president could try to focus his opponents. Bongino would serve under Kash Patel, who was sworn in on Friday as FBI director at the White House and who has indicated his intention to reform the agency, including by relocating hundreds of employees from Washington's head office and to emphasize the traditional Crime of the FBI direction rights.

The deputy director acts as the second in the FBI command and is traditionally a career agent who is responsible for the daily law enforcement operations of the agency.
Bongino, 49, served on the presidential details for the then presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush before he became a popular right -wing figure. He became one of the leading personalities in the Make America Great Again Political Movement to spread false information about the 2020 elections.
A few years after the death of Rush Limbaugh in 2021, he was chosen a radio program on the same time slot from the famous commentator.
Bongino worked for the New York police from 1997 to 1999 before he joined the secret service. He started commenting on Fox News more than ten years ago and had a Saturday evening show with the network from 2021 to 2023. He is now a host of the Dan Bongino show, one of the most popular podcasts, according to Spotify.
Bongino ran for an American senate seat in Maryland in 2012 and for conference seats in 2014 and 2016 in Maryland and Florida, after moved in 2015. He lost the three races.
During an interview last fall, Bongino Trump asked to commit to a committee to reform the secret service, to call it a “failed” agency and criticize it last year for the two murder attempts.
“That guy should not have been in your area anywhere,” said Bongino about the man who camped the authorities camping outside the Trump golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, before he was seen with a gun.
During the same interview, Trump praised the secret service agent who saw the vessel of the gun come out of a bush.
