(Reuters) – Uber Technologies has filed a lawsuit against Doordash and accuses the online delivery company of competitive facilities, which leads to higher costs for both restaurants and customers.

In a request in California Superior Court in San Francisco on Friday, Uber Doordash accused of mandatory restaurants to use Doordash as their exclusive or any preferred provider for delivery.

“The lagging tactics of Doordash have cost Uber millions of dollars in income and his ability to grow Uber immediately, limits the Uber EATS platform for FIRSTY delivery,” said Uber in the court case, for the first time reported by The Wall Street Journal Late Friday.

“Uber's case has no merit. Their claims are unfounded and based on their inability to offer sellers, consumers or couriers a quality alternative,” said a spokesperson for Doordash in an e -mail statement to Reuters.

Uber did not immediately respond to the request from a Reuters to comment.
