“After 18 years I decided to leave Fox 19 to pursue other opportunities,” said Marzullo. “My family and I call Cincinnati our house. This transition will give me more time to spend with them.”
Marzullo told The Inquirer that he could no longer say further than what was posted on social media, but said he has no plans to leave Cincinnati now and wishes “nothing but the best for everyone” at the station.
From Tuesday evening the name of Marzullo was removed from the Fox 19 staff page. His name was on the page on Monday, a archived version of the page shows.
Marzullo was the morning meteorologist in the first alert weather team of Fox 19 from 4:30 am every weekday. He also organized the Morning News Extra Show for 14 years from 9 am to 11 am
Marzullo, resident of Cleveland, joined for the first time until the morning team in August 2007 after he worked for 7 years at WFMJ, an NBC station in Youngstown, Ohio, where he was the weekday morning and afternoon weather forecast. He also spent a year with a prediction for WTAP, the NBC station in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
We have left a message for Fox 19 news director Chris GEGG. This story is updated when additional information becomes available.
