A £ 10 million medical cannabis facility in the Midlands, run by Derbantshire-featured Dalgety, is the first in the UK with EU GMP certification to cultivate, produce and distribute high-quality cannabinoids. The location of 30,000 m², protected by ex-military guards and 150 security cameras, ensures a consistent domestic stock prescribed cannabis, with shortages caused by international input. CEO James Leavesley said that their process delivers products to patients in weeks. The first shipping of Dalgety, equal to 500 recipes, was broadcast last month while the company wants to break the stigma around medical cannabis.
