A startup city in Kenya is trying to tackle Africa's problem of urbanization while poor

Tatu City, just outside the capital of Kenya, is a start-up city, privately owned and with the ambition to eventually have 250,000 inhabitants. There are similar projects all over the world. But in sub-Saharan Africa, advocates hope new urban developments can solve the continent's urbanization problem: While the growth of cities has reduced poverty around the world, the region has largely been an exception. Sub-Saharan Africa is urbanizing, but still poor. The region lacks the capital needed to transform cities into engines of economic growth. Some experts consider Tatu City with its new infrastructure and strict rules as an example. (AP video by Jackson Njehia)
