Warren Buffett is finally choosing who to support in the 2024 election and it could come as a surprise to many

Warren Buffett has always captured people's attention, not only because of his success as an investor, but also because of his cautious and thoughtful approach to almost everything. This time, however, he surprises everyone with his view on the 2024 US presidential elections.

Buffett, also known as the “Oracle of Omaha,” has been largely neutral in politics for years. He has endorsed Democrats in previous elections, including Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2016 and Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, but he stayed out of the 2020 race and made it clear he was not supporting anyone. Many people thought that Buffett would be on the sidelines again in 2024. But it seems he has finally decided to break his silence.

    Don't miss:

He has made it clear that he does not support Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump or any other candidate. At a time of deep political division, Buffett has decided that staying out of the game is his best move.

His company posted a statement on Berkshire Hathaway's website, saying: “In light of the increased use of social media, there have been numerous fraudulent claims regarding Mr. Buffett's endorsement of investment products, as well as his endorsement and support of political candidates.” It continues: “Mr. “Buffett does not currently endorse any investment products and will not do so in the future, nor does he endorse or endorse any political candidates.”

Buffett also spoke about his decision to CNBC and made it clear that he is concerned about misinformation. He wants people to know that any claims that he supports a particular candidate are not true. “I'm afraid of people imitating me, so we put that on Berkshire's website. No one should believe anyone who says I'm telling them how to invest or how to vote,” Buffett explained.

This could be a turnoff for some of his neighbors in Omaha, who were hoping to see a “blue dot” sign in his front yard — a symbol of Democratic support in a neighborhood that is largely Republican. Interestingly, while Buffett has chosen to remain quiet, his daughter appears to be taking a different approach, with two blue dot signs already in her yard.
