ST. PAUL, Minnesota (FOX 9) – The Minnesota State Fair set an attendance record for the second day on Friday, after also setting an attendance record on opening day on Thursday.

How many people were there on the second day?
A total of 171,233 people visited the state fair on Friday, August 23, breaking the previous record of 164,741, set in 2023, according to the fair's website.
In 2023, a total of 1.8 million people attended the Great Minnesota Get-Together. The record for total attendance was set in 2019, when 2,126,551 people attended the fair in 2019.
The large crowds on Friday were not deterred by a power failure that lasted an hour. This caused problems throughout the fair. For example, two people were stuck for a while in the Skyscaper attraction in Adventure Park.
