MANILA (Reuters) – Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s approval and trust ratings have fallen slightly as he enters his third year in office, independent pollster Pulse Asia said.
His approval and trust ratings in the survey conducted June 17-24 were down two points at 53% and down five points at 52% from the scores he received in a March poll. They are comparable to Vice President Sara Duterte's approval rating rose two points to 69% from March, with a trust rating of 71%.
The survey of 2,400 respondents was the first since the Marcos-Duterte political alliance that brought them to power in 2022 collapsed after Duterte resigned as cabinet minister and from another key post on June 19.
