A former business manager of Ye has reportedly tried to locate him but failed to locate him, allowing the rapper to face a $4.5 million contract lawsuit.
Thomas St. John, a former business manager for the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, filed a $4.5 million lawsuit against him this year alleging unpaid fees. But The sun now reports that St. John has not been able to find Ye to serve him and is asking for an extension so that he can do so.
“In general, we’ve had trouble confirming Kanye West’s best current address,” a court reportedly said, noting that “we’ve tried to serve him by mail” at “three separate addresses.” A package delivered to one address has reportedly been returned to the sender.
The St. John’s team has “made no attempt to assist him personally” as it is “unable to ascertain his current residential address”.
According to TMZ“Ye has been leading a “nomadic life” for months, traveling here and there and not really having a home base, although he was spotted in Los Angeles this month. St. John’s lawsuit, which also alleged that Ye yelled at him and became “heated and aggressive” at a January 2022 rally, was filed as the rapper faced widespread backlash for his string of anti-Semitic remarks.
The filing also says that St. John has not been able to contact Ye’s lawyers because he apparently does not have a lawyer at the moment, The sun reports. In October, reports said Ye was working with Camille Vasquez, the attorney who represented Johnny Depp in his lawsuit against Amber Heard. But their working relationship reportedly ended days later when Ye refused to retract his anti-Semitic remarks.
