7 Tesla charging stations set fire to Boston

Seven charging stations from Tesla were deliberately set on fire on Monday in a shopping center outside of Boston, the police said the last in a series of attacks at the company for electric vehicles, because the owner, Elon Musk, built a deep partnership with President Trump.

The charging stations were set on fire around 1:10 am in a shopping center in LittleTon, Massachusetts, about 30 miles outside of Boston, according to a press release from the Littleton Police Department.

The police said they told the Littleton Electric Light & Water department to close the power to the charging stations, because “heavy, dark smoke” flooded several of them. Before the electric company could respond, another charging station caught fire.

There were 12 charging stations on the site, according to a Tesla card.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday.

Tesla -Showrooms and dealers throughout the country have been the target of protests and vandalism since Mr. Trump became president and Mr. Musk Koos to accelerate his agenda.

The protests have reflected Mr. Musk and his recent political movements, including his radical acquisition of federal bureaucracy and his efforts to reduce federal jobs.

On Thursday, federal prosecutors accused a resident of Colorado with malignant destruction of real estate, who accused her of spraying the word “Nazi” on the side of a Tesla dealer and planting a fuel device near a vehicle, according to a press release from the American attorneur in Colorado.

Some vehicle owners now sell their Teslas to distance themselves from the billionaire Chief Executive.

Yet Teslas are by far the most popular electric vehicles in the United States, and some car owners have said on Facebook groups that they bought one for their support to Mr. Musk to show.
