President-elect Trump on Wednesday used a lengthy social media post on Christmas Day to tell the 37 people whose death sentences were commuted by President Biden to “go to hell.”
“Also to the 37 most violent criminals, who have killed, raped and looted like virtually no one before them, but have just, incredibly, been pardoned by Sleepy Joe Biden,” Trump wrote in the last of two Truth Social posts.
“I refuse to wish these lucky 'souls' a Merry Christmas, but instead I say: GO TO HELL!”
President Biden commuted the sentences of 37 inmates on federal death row on Monday. Their sentences were commuted to life in prison.
Trump has repeatedly condemned the decision.
Trump also focused on foreign relations with China, Panama, Canada and Greenland in his Wednesday mission. He accused Chinese soldiers of “illegally” manning the Panama Canal, which he said he wants to return under American control.
“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the great soldiers of China, who lovingly, but illegally, operate the Panama Canal (where we lost 38,000 people in the building 110 years ago), always ensuring that the United States brings in billions of dollars. Dollars in 'repair money,' but will have absolutely no say in 'anything,'” Trump wrote.
He added: “Also against Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, whose state taxes are way too high, but if Canada became our 51st state, their taxes would be cut by more than 60% and their businesses would immediately double in size. , and they would be militarily protected like no other country anywhere in the world.”
“The same goes for the people of Greenland, who need the United States for national security purposes and want the US to be there, and we will!”
