Negotiators fail to agree on a treaty on plastic pollution. The talks will resume next year

    Negotiators in South Korea working for a week on a treaty to tackle the global plastic pollution crisis failed to reach an agreement and agreed to resume talks next year. They found themselves at an impasse over whether the treaty should reduce overall plastic levels on Earth and introduce global, legally binding controls on toxic chemicals used to make plastics.
