Dashcam videos can certainly reveal a lot…
A dashcam video recently dropped on YouTube shows a horrific crash involving two newer Mercedes C-Classes in New York City. If you're anything like us, you spend a lot of time on the Internet watching crash videos like this one. They often show the dark side of humanity as people go into road rage, causing property damage and possible bodily harm. Sometimes, however, there is an act of kindness or courage when people step in to help amid the carnage. Unfortunately, this isn't one of those videos.

For starters, the guy with the dashcam seems to be part of the problem. He's traveling on FDR Drive in Manhattan and as you can hear he's having a phone conversation, but because it's in a language we don't understand, we have no idea what's being said. However, the discussion sounds quite emotional and that could explain why this man is camping in the left lane while the other lanes are completely open, creating a safety hazard.
Another explanation, of course, is that the man is simply self-centered. But wait, he's not alone. A newer black Mercedes C-Class flies by as if it's standing still, maybe because it's actually driving well under the speed limit, we don't know. They lose control and slide straight into the concrete barrier, just as a white Mercedes C-Class appears in the corner of the frame.
Because the first Mercedes appears to be driving too fast and the second appears to be driving aggressively, some have concluded that these two were racing. That's a big assumption, but it's possible. What's also possible is that they're driving in New York while the other guy is lollipoping in the left lane.
Then the black Mercedes veers to the left and hits the guardrail nose first, raising its rear end. After hitting the brakes, the white Mercedes drives around the wreckage. That's a crazy move, but then the man with the dashcam does the same. Welcome to NYC? It's possible that the driver of the black Mercedes had a medical emergency and therefore crashed, but even if they were racing, who could look at themselves in the mirror after driving away like that? Oh, and the guy with the camera just continues his phone conversation, because that's obviously more important than someone needing help. Wow, just wow.
