A man taking a morning walk on an Australian beach came across a creature he says is out of this world.
Instagram user Alex Tan posted the video of the dead animal or possibly “alien” on Tuesday with hundreds of people commenting on what they think it is.
“This is something you see when people claim to have found aliens,” he said in the clip. “How weird is that?”
Tan said it looked like a “hairless possum,” but was unlike anything he’d ever encountered.
People in the comments said it could be a dead rat or a dead kangaroo carcass.
“Maybe a mini Chupacabra,” one user commented.
“I’m pretty sure it’s a ring-tailed possum. Skull and teeth match, hands look the same and size is about right,” wrote another.

Tan said he was genuinely interested in what the creature is and even called it “little friend.”
USA TODAY has reached out to Tan for comment.
He closed the video by saying it was an “alien creature.”
This isn’t the first time a strange creature has been found washed up on a beach or floating in water.
Last December, a California man searching for dolphins found a “mutilated alien shark” fish that looked like it had been “bitten in half.” It turned out to be a Sunfish, which is bullet-like in shape and usually stays close to the water’s surface to soak up the sun.
A month earlier, on a San Diego beach, a man stumbled upon a rare deep-sea monster, a Pacific football fish.
“You know, I go to the beach quite often, so I’m familiar with the area, but I’ve never seen an organism as terrifying as this one,” Jay Beiler told NBC San Diego.
