The Island House, in Shard End, Birmingham, is offering a four-day bargain, with several items on the menu reduced to 1p. Fish and chips, chicken and chips, kebab meat and chips and sausage and chips are all included in the “bonkers” opening promotion. Customers started queuing from 11am yesterday (Wednesday) to get their hands on the great value meals, which typically cost between £3.25 and £6.95.
