Atlanta Man Throws Large Garbage Bag Out Car Window. It Was Anything But Trash

    Two Atlanta men were arrested after officers say they threw more than just trash out a car window.

    Last Wednesday, Washington County deputies were patrolling near Davisboro when they spotted a suspicious car parked in the middle of the highway, which is near the Washington State Penitentiary.

    While watching the car for a while, officials said the passenger, Byron Gearing, 45, of Atlanta, threw a large trash bag out the window.

    While Washington County deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver, Demarcus Morgan, 27, of Atlanta, refused to stop.

    After a short chase, the officer was able to stop the car. During the investigation, officers discovered that the garbage bag contained a large amount of drugs and other prohibited items.

    Authorities arrested Gearing and Morgan.

    The transfer was taxed as follows:

    • Two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime

    • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

    • Methamphetamine trade

    • Trading with prisoners without the guard's permission

    Morgan was charged with the following:

    • Trading with prisoners without the guard's permission

    • Methamphetamine trade

    • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

    • Conspiracy to commit a crime

    • Fleeing or attempting to evade the police

    • Conspiracy to commit a crime

    • Driving too fast

    • Reckless driving

    • Two times violating the stop sign

    • Not using a turn signal

    • Do not stay in lane
