European Prime Ministers Meet Ukrainian President Zelensky in Kiev
The prime ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia traveled to Kiev on Tuesday, March 15, where they met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The three leaders — Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa — spoke personally with Zelensky as Russian forces continued to attack the Ukrainian capital and threaten cities across the country. The meeting was part of a whirlwind diplomatic program for Zelensky, who spoke virtually with Canada’s parliament earlier on Tuesday and called for support and encouragement of a no-fly zone. The Ukrainian president will address the US Congress on Wednesday. These images, released on Zelensky’s Facebook page, show him meeting the European delegation in Kiev. Also in attendance were Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski. Credit: Volodymyr Zelensky via Storyful
